Imagine the most lovely, intentional & glamorous backyard soirée… Think glass covered pools, dream worthy tents dripping with chandeliers, show-stopping florals and a bride and groom absolutely beaming with joy...
On a warm October day in Indian Hill Ohio, Sarah laughed with her best friends, prayed with her sweet sisters and stepped into the most stunning, classic lace dress with the help of her wonderful mother. From hair, makeup and brunch for the bridal party to the ceremony and reception - each part of this perfectly created day were held at the bride's family home. While Sarah & the girls had the house to themselves, Scot spent the morning reminiscing with friends over a game of golf, excitedly anticipating seeing his beautiful bride!
Sarah's emotional first look with her father had everyone in the room in tears. The two laughed, cried and embraced - her gratitude for having her dad beside her on her wedding day was evident, and his pride and admiration for his little girl shone brightly through his smile.
Having not yet seen one another, Sarah and Scot stood back to back, each silently reading a letter from the other. After they had each taken in the words from their partner, they eagerly turned around… Scot’s pure delight at seeing his soon-to-be wife in her dress was clear as day - he wept at her beauty, he couldn't believe his eyes. Sarah could harldly wait to throw her arms around Scot, and once she did she held him close.
The wait was over, these two were finally hand-in-hand on their wedding day and you could feel the contentment between them. They twirled for videos, kissed as their bridal party cheered during group photos, and stole loving glances every chance they got - these two truly enjoyed the entire process of their wedding day, they reveled in the blessing of being together, surrounded by all those they hold dear.
The day continued to unfold exquisitely. It was a perfectly elegant affair bringing together all the people Sarah & Scot cherish - just as event expert Brigid of i-do Weddings, Sarah & her fabulous mom, Rhonda, had envisioned and planned for so many months. As guests began to arrive, they were greeted by valets at the front of the home, the cars were whisked away leaving the grounds nothing short of perfection, and the honored guests were ushered to the stunning ceremony location.
What ordinarily serves as the family pool had been transformed into a magical, floating platform for the ceremony. Family and friends took their seats above the soft blue water and were dazzled when they looked up to find thousands of sparkling, fire-fly like lights in the canopy overhead.
The ceremony was lighthearted, personalized and intentional. Sarah and Scot were at ease among their loved ones and enjoyed the moments as they took in the teachings of the service and exchanged vows and rings. They were glowing with newlywed bliss as they were anounced husband and wife!
Cocktail hour under the expansive white porch provided time for friends and family to mingle with hors d’oeuvres and libations while family photos were captured. Afterward, everyone made their way to the dinner tent - yet another expertly crafted, strikingly beautiful space to gather! Chandeliers spilled crystal light across the room, while impressive floral masterpieces by Robin Wood Flowers reached high above, and across the tables.
In no time at al,l the tent was abuzz with great conversation and wonderful energy. After a delicious meal by Funky's Catering was had & loving words were expressed in the toasts, it was time for cake and dancing.
The ceremony location had now been transformed into a dance floor! Guests walked on water, congregating around Sarah & Scot - they marveled at the stunning day-of video created by Studio Z and the divine desserts & gorgeous cake created by Fat Ben's Bakery. Everyone laughed as the newlyweds smashed pieces of their delicious carrot cake onto each other!
Above the twinkling tent, the stars were sparkling against the autumn sky and Sarah & Scot were blissfully married. They danced the night away, celebrating with their favorite people - what better way to start a marriage…
Congratulations Sarah & Scot!
